Professor Neil Squires

Biography

Neil was appointed Deputy Director for Health Workforce for the north of England at PHE in 2014.

Career highlights:

Head of profession for health at the Department for International Development (DFiD)
long career working internationally including being based in Mozambique, Bangladesh and Malawi
worked across a number of countries in Africa and Asia as a regional adviser for DFID
spent 3 years working for the European Commission as a seconded national expert working on health workforce development
