Nathan Moores

Biography

Nathan is an experienced project, programme and portfolio manager with 25 years’ experience and he has a history of leading multi organisational change and improvements across corporate services, in challenging organisational environments, and working in the shared services space. 

He has led transformation programmes and implemented ERP systems within the Civil Service, at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, which is now called Department for Energy Security and Net Zero/ Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and the UK Space Agency.

Nathan has been the Director of Shared Services for Government since May 2021.

Director of Shared Services for Government

The Director of Shared Services for Government leads the implementation of the Shared Services Strategy for Government, which was launched in May 2021. The Director and their team works closely with clusters, functions and suppliers to deliver the strategy. The directorate is the policy lead for shared services in government enabling the streamlining of cross-departmental processes to make it easier for civil and public servants to use HR, finance, and payroll platforms. Under the Shared Services Strategy, 18 departments have been brought together into five clusters with the joint aim of improving the civil servant user experience and delivering better value for the taxpayer.
