Dr Mike Aldred
Biography
Mike Aldred has significant leadership experience in human resources (HR) and remuneration. He is a founding partner of 3XO, a HR advisory firm. Prior to this he held various HR Director roles for Standard Chartered and Barclays. Mike started his professional career at PwC, where he was a board advisor on HR and remuneration. Mike has a doctorate in Mathematics from the Queen’s University, Belfast and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He is currently a board member for The Great Schools Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust of state funded schools in the North-West region of England, alongside other board advisory roles.

STRB Chair
The function of STRB is to consider matters referred to it by the Secretary of State for the Department for Education (DfE) in relation to the remuneration, professional duties or working time of school teachers in England. The Secretary of State can refer matters to STRB at any time. STRB reports to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Education.
