Michelle Dyson was appointed as Director General for Adult Social Care in May 2021.
Her previous roles include:
- Director of Qualification, Curriculum and Extra Curricular in the Department for Education
- Director of Early Years and Childcare in the Department for Education
- Director of Children, Families and Disadvantage in the Department for Work and Pensions
- Disability Director in the Department for Work and Pensions
Director General, Adult Social Care
Part of DHSC’s senior leadership team, the Director General is responsible for leading on all matters relating to adult social care in the department.
