Michael Jennings

Biography

Called to the Bar in 1994 Michael was a Crown Advocate with the CPS appearing regularly in both magistrates’ courts and the Crown Court.

In 2011 he left the CPS to become a senior legal adviser and speechwriter to the Attorney General. From 2014 to 2019 Michael worked in the Home Office Legal Advisers Group, eventually heading the team advising on policing, crime reduction and fire.

In 2019 Michael was appointed Principal Private Secretary to the Home Secretary and head of the Home Office Private Office Group.
