Michael Holland
Biography
Michael became Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Croatia in July 2021. He joined the Foreign Office in 2003. Since then he has represented the UK as Head of Political Section in Croatia, Kuwait and Yemen.
Prior to his Middle East postings he undertook Arabic language training at SOAS as well immersion training in Egypt and Jordan. Michael’s first overseas posting was to the Caribbean island of Jamaica as Second Secretary Management.
Between overseas postings Michael has also served in the FCDO’s Counter Terrorism Department and as a liaison officer to the BBC World Service.’
