Meredydd David OBE

Biography

Meredydd David was appointed Deputy Further Education Commissioner in September 2018.

He is a board member on the Local Enterprise Partnership, chairs the Rural Strategy Board and is a member of the University of Chester Council.

Meredydd has spent over 30 years working in the FE sector, serving as a board member for the Association of Colleges, Landex (Federation of Land-based Colleges) and The National Land-based College.

He has also held senior roles including:

  • Principal at Reaseheath College, Cheshire
  • Vice Principal at Sparsholt College, Hampshire
  • Head of Faculty for Land-based Studies, Coleg Sir Gar, West Wales

Meredydd was awarded an OBE in 2009 for services to local and national further education and was made a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society in 2017.
