Matthew Kidd CMG

Biography

Matthew Kidd began his career in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1978 and took up his first posting to Cyprus in 1980. He was later posted to New York, Paris, Ethiopia, Germany and NATO before returning to Cyprus as British High Commissioner from May 2010 to August 2014 and again from June 2016.

Matthew attended Oxford University where he read four languages Latin, Ancient Greek, Italian and German. He is married to Carine and has four children.
