Matt Agar
Biography
Matt Agar is Building Digital UK’s (BDUK’s) Strategy Director and is responsible for the strategy and design of Government’s delivery programmes for broadband connectivity, including Project Gigabit.
Matt joined BDUK in 2010 and has been a telecoms / IT / infrastructure commercial professional for over 25 years. He leads a team of strategy, geospatial, data modelling and research specialists to enable BDUK to achieve its digital infrastructure and broadband objectives and support network operators to invest in networks across the UK.
In 2026, Matt was awarded an OBE for his contribution to UK digital connectivity.
