Marshall Elliott

Biography

Marshall Elliott was Head of DFID Tanzania from 2011 to 2015.

He joined DFID in 1995, initially as a senior education adviser and subsequently chief education adviser before becoming Head of DFID South East Asia (2004-2007), DFID Afghanistan (2007-2010) and then of DFID’s Conflict, Humanitarian and Security Department (2011).

He has a PhD in mechanical engineering and was a principal lecturer at the University of Sunderland before joining DFID.
