Mark Richardson

Biography

Mark is the Head of Office for the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) in Zambia. Mark has been based at the British High Commission in Lusaka since September 2017.

Mark joined DFID in 2005 and has held a number of positions in DFID headquarters and overseas. Prior to being posted to Lusaka he was Deputy Head, and then Acting Head, of DFID’s Climate and Environment Department, based in London. Mark has also worked as private secretary to two DFID Secretaries of State, on Sudan and South Sudan (at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office), and in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mark holds a Masters in International Relations.
