Marie-Claire Uhart

Biography

Marie-Claire joined the civil service in 1987, starting in the Inland Revenue, where she trained as a tax inspector. Her HMRC career included handling the tax issues of multinational companies, leading major tax policy reforms, and leading HMRC’s largest directorate through significant change. Until her move to HMCTS, she led HMRC’s Central Policy Directorate as Head of Policy Profession, leading HMRC’s contribution to the Budget and Autumn Statement.
