Biography

Malcolm Dawson OBE was appointed as the interim Chief Executive of DVLA in May 2013.

Career

Malcolm joined DVLA as Interim Chief Executive Officer on 20 May 2013. Prior to this he worked for HM Land Registry for 5 years, being appointed as Director Business Transformation, HR and Estates in January 2008 and then as Chief Land Registrar and Chief Executive in March 2011. During that period Malcolm led the restructuring of the Land Registry to respond to the 2008 economic downturn.

Prior to joining Land Registry, Malcolm’s career has ranged across a number of government departments, including the Ministry of Justice, the Cabinet Office and HM Customs and Excise, working in public service reform, HR and operational roles.
