Lucy Ferguson
Biography
Lucy was Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in The Hague between 2020 and 2023. Prior to her posting in the Netherlands she was the Head of the Foreign and Security Policy Unit at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
Lucy joined the Government on the Fast Stream programme working for the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, and Intellectual Property Office (now Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy).
Lucy has previously been Private Secretary for European Affairs to several Foreign Secretaries. Additionally, Lucy has worked as the European Correspondent in the FCO and has worked on G8 and G20 negotiations. She is married with two children.
