Lisa Haythorne MBE

Biography

Lisa Haythorne MBE joined the LAA in January 2026. She is the Senior Solicitor at Derbyshire Law Centre and has worked in the legal profession for almost 30 years in both private practice and a not for profit legal practice.

Lisa has experience as a Non-Executive for a domestic abuse charity which operates three refuges and, the Sheffield and District Law Society. Lisa was awarded an MBE in 2025 for her services to the vulnerable and homeless.

Lisa has always enjoyed legal aid work and is excited to join the LAA to support the Agency’s mission to simplify access to justice for all legal aid users.

Lisa is lucky to live in Derbyshire and enjoys walking in the Peak District with her husband, three children and dog, and regularly attending concerts for a variety of musicians.
