Lisa Denson

Biography

As Acting Chief Customer Officer at the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) and member of the Executive Board, Lisa leads the organisation’s global commercial activity.  Overseeing a 280 strong team across Customer Division, Lisa’s teams play a key role in strategy and innovation, product and service development, sales and business development, and marketing and channel operations.  Lisa and the division focus on the delivery of maritime data solutions to support safer navigation and unlock a deeper understanding of the wider maritime ecosystem, for trade and sustainability.

Lisa, who is also Head of Products and Services at UKHO, joined the organisation in 2009. Her work has primarily been within the customer facing side of the business in both Product Management and Programme Delivery.   Lisa is committed to understanding customer need and is a strategic decision maker, ensuring customer satisfaction and expectation is both maintained and surpassed through the provision of ADMIRALTY products and services.  Prior to joining the UKHO, Lisa worked in the private sector managing the process design centre at British Airways.

Beyond the commercial business, Lisa shares her expertise and experience as part of the team leading on the development of the next generation of navigational solutions.  This involves collaborating with stakeholders across industry and utilising the latest innovations in digitalisation and data science, including the S-100 framework, to unlock new possibilities for ocean users and help meet their priorities, including decarbonisation and voyage optimisation.
