Biography

Lindsy has been Resident British Commissioner to Antigua and Barbuda since October 2019. Her previous posting was as Consular Regional Manager for East Africa and the Indian Ocean, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Lindsy joined the FCDO in 2003 and has also had postings in Belgium, Sierra Leone, and the UK’s Yemen Office in Saudi Arabia.

Resident British Commissioner to Antigua and Barbuda

Deputy Head of Mission is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the Ambassador or High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas Embassy or High Commission. They will represent the UK’s interests in the absence of the Ambassador as Chargé d’Affaires. A senior ranking Deputy may also take the title Minister.
