Lindsey Henning
Biography
Lindsey was appointed Director of Schools Financial Support and Oversight at the Education and Skills Funding Agency in December 2023.
Lindsey has been a civil servant since 1996. She was previously the deputy director for National Operations in the ESFA. Lindsey has spent the majority of her career working in the Department for Education.
The Schools Financial Support and Oversight Directorate supports schools to ensure they have sufficient funds to operate, achieve high standards of financial management, and that public funds are properly spent to deliver world class education.

The Director, Schools Financial Support and Oversight, delivers ESFA’s remit with open academies and maintained schools. The directorate are responsible for identifying and managing financial management and governance risks in academies, free schools and local authority maintained schools.
