Linda Knutsen
Biography
Linda Knutsen was appointed Head of Exploration Division in April 2021.
Linda started her MOD career as a Forensic Analytical Chemist for the Naval Aircraft Materials Laboratory in 1994, following a MSc in Analytical Science. She moved to DRA/DERA/QQ Haslar where her career progressed through research in non-acoustic submarine detection, fire research, submarine atmospheres and waste management. In 2003 she moved to Dstl where she has held roles in Radiation Detection and the Underwater Group, and she was appointed Capability Leader for Platform Systems Division in April 2015.
Head, Exploration Division
A member of Dstl’s Executive team, the Head of Exploration Division leads a team that identifies and accelerates transformative technologies, systems, concepts and strategies for defence and security.
