Kru Desai

Biography

Kru Desai’s career spans 30 years as a management consultant working with public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally. Her executive experience combines general management in growing professional and technology services and leading complex digital and transformation change programmes in the public sector. She started her career with Westminster City Council as a policy and business analyst and has held various leadership roles at KPMG, Atos, Hedra and Mouchel before returning to KPMG in 2010, to lead the Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare practice in the UK and, as part of the global leadership team, to drive business growth North America, Europe, India and Australia.

During this period, she was also on the Board of KPMG in the UK and Chair of the remuneration committee and a member of the audit and risk committee.

Kru left KPMG in 2018 and has since been developing her portfolio of non-executive roles. She is currently the Chair of Zinc Network, a privately owned communications agency that supports communities, brands and governments drive positive social change and, a member of the Council at City, University of London where she is a member of the audit and risk and remuneration committees.
