Kato Longfield
Biography
Kato Longfield was the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Kinshasa from 2024 to July 2026. She arrived in Kinshasa in August 2024.
Kato has led teams providing consular assistance to British people in distress and their families.
Kato has previously worked on counter terrorism, defence and security, and immigration issues in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Ministry of Defence, Home Office and Northern Ireland Office. She has worked in East Africa and in Afghanistan.
