Kathryn Parsons

Biography

Kathryn Parsons was a non-executive board member of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) from 2017 to 2020.

Kathryn is the co-founder and co-CEO of Decoded, a London-based tech start-up which aims to increase digital literacy. She sits on the London Mayor’s Business Advisory Panel and on Matt Hancock’s Cyber Security Board.

In 2014 she won Marie Claire magazine’s Women At The Top award for top tech pioneer and was included on The Sunday Times’ Britain’s Top 30 Female Power List and The Telegraph’s Britons of the Year 2014.

In March 2014 she was named an ambassador of Tech City by former London mayor Boris Johnson.
