Katherine Fletcher MP

Biography

Katherine Fletcher was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport and Minister for Women at the Cabinet Office between 20 September 2022 and 27 October 2022.

She was elected Conservative MP for South Ribble in 2019.

Political career

Katherine was a member of the Science and Technology Committee from March 2020. In 2020 Katherine was appointed the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Mozambique. She was also the Parliamentary Private Secretary to Alok Sharma in his role as President for COP26.

Career outside politics

Katherine has worked in a variety of jobs, including running her own small manufacturing business in the north west of England. She has also worked in management and IT consultancy.

Education

Katherine was educated at Altrincham Girls Grammar School and the University of Nottingham where she studied BSc Biology.

Personal life

Katherine is passionate about nature and spends her spare time outdoors, enjoying bird watching and mountain biking.
