Ms Katy Ransome has been appointed British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana in succession to Mr Nicholas Pyle OBE, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. Ms Ransome took up her appointment in February 2016.

British High Commissioner to Botswana and UK Representative to the Southern Africa Development Community
The High Commissioner is the UK government’s representative in a Commonwealth nation. They are responsible for the direction and work of the High Commission and its Deputy High Commissions and/or Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
