Justin Manson
Biography
Justin was interim Chief Executive of UK Government Investments until March 2020 and prior to that Deputy Chief Executive, and has subsequently been Senior Adviser. UK Government Investments is the UK Government’s centre of excellence in corporate finance and corporate governance.
Justin joined UK Government Investments as a director at its creation on 1 April 2016 and was a director of the Shareholder Executive which he joined in June 2015.
He is currently a non-executive director of Urenco Group. Urenco is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving utility customers worldwide who provide low carbon electricity through nuclear generation. He serves on the Audit and Risk Committee and the Remuneration and Appointments Committee. He was a non-executive director of UK Export Finance from 2015 to 2019.
At UKGI, Justin brought significant corporate finance experience, leading numerous advisory roles to governments and corporates around the world in his 30-year career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and First Boston, where he served in senior positions in London, New York and Tokyo.
Justin was appointed OBE for services to Business and the Economy in 2022.
