José Luis Carrizo

Biography

José Luis Carrizo joined the LAA in January 2026. He is a transformational technology executive with over 25 years’ experience in Telco, utilities, education and start-up.  He is currently the Chief Data & AI Officer at Southern Water, and has held roles previously with Virgin Media O2, Vodafone, Tesco Mobile and Brunel University.

José Luis has Board and Audit Committee level experience leading complex technology estates and building high performing teams across multiple geographies.

José Luis is keen to join the LAA to support the Agency’s mission to modernise the delivery of legal aid, the fair and efficient operation of the Justice System and improve outcomes for the users of legal aid.
