Jonathan Dart

Biography

Jonathan Dart joined the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 1988. He has been posted to Germany, South Africa, and South Korea, and has worked on science and technology, defence, information technology, political and trade and investment projects in a number of capacities.

Following the Russian invasion of Georgia in August 2008 Mr. Dart headed the Georgia Unit in the FCO in London, following which he took up his appointment in Canada.

Mr. Dart served as Consul General in Toronto, and Director General of UK Trade & Investment for Canada until the summer of 2014.

Mr. Dart and his wife Claire have 3 children.
