John Ward OBE
Biography
John Ward OBE is the Department for Work and Pensions Legal Director.
A solicitor by background, he has previously been the Legal Director in the Home Office and Northern Ireland Office and the Deputy Legal Director in Defra.
He has also served as Legal Counsel (Europe) in No. 10 and Legal Secretary to the Advocate General for Scotland. He joined government service in 1997 from the City.
