Mr John Roberts
Biography
John Roberts is Deputy Director in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for policy on common agricultural policy direct payments.
He has extensive experience of a range of roles in Defra and its predecessors, working on the regulation of chemicals, marine environmental protection policy and urban policy.
His previous roles include:
- Secretary of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution from 2009 to 2011
