John Derrick
Biography
John Derrick is Deputy Director for Global Talent in the Office for Investment. He oversees the Global Talent Hub and Global Entrepreneur Programme, with a core focus on attracting and facilitating exceptional talent relocation to support the government’s Industrial Strategy growth-driving sectors.
He has served in a number of UK roles working for different government departments, including the FCDO, Home Office, Stabilisation Unit and DBT.
John has been posted to Brussels, Islamabad, Helmand (south Afghanistan) and Santiago. They have also included secondments to the European Commission and an exchange programme with the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
