John Corderoy joined the Royal Navy in 1985 and completed initial officer training at Britannia Royal Naval College and in the Fleet. During his career he covered the full spectrum of activities associated with operating, supporting, designing and building nuclear power plants for submarines. In Sep 2013 he was promoted to Commodore and was appointed to the role of Director of Nuclear Propulsion. He had responsibility for the full nuclear propulsion programme he led the Navy’s first new reactor design for several decades. In April 2016 John joined Radioactive Waste Management Limited as their Science and Technology Director.
