Joanne Freeman
Biography
Joanne (Jo) Freeman is the Consul General for Queensland & Northern Territory and Director of Trade for Australia & New Zealand at the UK’s Department for International Trade. Most recently, Jo worked as the Deputy Consul General in Sydney and has previously worked for DIT in various roles overseas including India and Canada. As the Head of Learning & Development at UK Trade and Investment, she delivered training courses across the overseas network and in the UK. Before coming to Australia in October 2016, Jo was DIT’s Deputy Regional Director for London. In this role she was responsible for managing stakeholder relationships across the London region and helping London companies explore export opportunities overseas.
