Jo Grunwell
Biography
Jo Grunwell has extensive HR and remuneration strategy, design and policy experience gained over a period of 16 years working in banking (NatWest Group) and wealth management (Old Mutual/Skandia and Hargreaves Lansdown).
Prior to that, Jo spent 17 years as a tax consultant, mostly with PricewaterhouseCoopers, including 5 years working in Australia.
Jo’s last role before retiring in 2023 was Group Head of Colleague Proposition & Capability at Hargreaves Lansdown.
Jo is also Chair of Minstead Trust (supporting people with learning disabilities to achieve greater independence and live the life of their choosing) and was a member of Bournemouth University’s remuneration committee.

STRB Member
The function of STRB is to consider matters referred to it by the Secretary of State for the Department for Education (DfE) in relation to the remuneration, professional duties or working time of school teachers in England. The Secretary of State can refer matters to STRB at any time. STRB reports to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Education.
