Jessica Blakely

Biography
Jessica Blakely was appointed Chief Executive of the Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) in June 2025 in a jobshare arrangement with Carmen Suarez. Jessica and Carmen joined the TRA from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG). Since 2017 they have jointly held several senior roles both within and outside government, with a particular focus on trade, investment and regulation.
Prior to starting her jobshare, Jessica worked in the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s Better Regulation Executive, in the Regional Growth Fund, and then the Europe Directorate. Jessica lead the evidence base for several areas, including the UK’s referendum on EU membership.
Jessica’s academic background is in International Political Economy with a focus on trade and economic development.
