Jenny Stewart
Biography
Jenny Stewart was Science Director of the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) from 2021 to March 2026.
For 12 months from June 2024, she was Chief Executive (interim) of APHA.
Before joining APHA, Jenny was Director of Science at the Home Office where she led research, operational and regulatory teams. She was also the senior responsible owner for the Home Office Biometrics Programme.
Jenny’s career has been in central government and higher education, working in transformation, science and technology roles.
