Jennifer Cole OBE

Biography

Jennifer Cole established the role of Minister Counsellor (National Security) at the British High Commission in Canberra in November 2025. 

Prior to this, Jennifer was Secretary to the Infected Blood Inquiry (2018 to 2026) and Political Counsellor at the British High Commission in Islamabad (2014 to 2016). 

Jennifer has also worked in the National Security Secretariat in the Cabinet Office, in the British Embassies in Washington and Tehran, and at the UK Delegation to NATO. 

Jennifer received an OBE for her work coordinating the response to international terrorist kidnaps.
