Jen Marshall

Biography

Jen has over 17 years of international development experience, with 8 years in Africa, including at community, district and national levels in Tanzania, Niger and Senegal.

She joined the Department for International Development in 2009. Her most recent post was as Head of Profession for Social Development. She previously held senior leadership and technical roles in international non-governmental organisations and a research programme, specialising in service delivery, social and economic policy, extreme poverty eradication, and children’s and girls’ and women’s rights.

Jen holds a degree in Geography and an MSc in Engineering for Development (Infrastructure, Water Supply and Sanitation) from the University of Southampton.
