Jack Boyer OBE
Biography
Jack Boyer is a non-executive board member of the Department for Education. He joined in May 2022.
Jack is chair of the board of trustees at the University of Bristol and was previously chair of Academies Enterprise Trust, the deputy chair of independent school Godolphin & Latymer and a non-executive director at the University of Southampton. Other past roles include council member of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and member of the Higher Education Funding Council England Research Excellence Framework 2014 Main Panel B.
He is currently the senior independent director of TT Electronics plc and Elcogen plc and a non-executive director at the Sir Henry Royce Institute and Ricardo plc.
Jack was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2015 for services to science and engineering.
