Hugh Evans
Biography
Hugh Evans became acting Corporate Affairs Director at the DVLA in 2011.
Education
Hugh joined the Civil Service after taking a Higher National Certificate in Public Administration and Business Studies.
Career
Hugh is a career civil servant and has served DVLA in a range of roles over the last 36 years. Since joining the DVLA in 1976 Hugh has successfully undertaken a range of roles including Operations and Project Management, systems development and testing, efficiency and process improvements and policy. Hugh led the policy team through periods of major change, ensuring the agency’s policies are in line with government commitments and that where necessary legislation was changed or put in place to accommodate this. Hugh has a vast amount of experience and knowledge of the agency’s business which he brings to the board.
