Henry De Zoete
Biography
Henry de Zoete is a tech entrepreneur and angel investor.
In 2014, he co-founded The Big Deal which did collective bargaining for consumers. In 2018, he established and was CEO of Look After My Bills, an auto-switching service which saved families money on their gas and electricity.
After raising global investment including from renowned Silicon Valley based investor Y Combinator and securing the best deal in the history of BBC’s Dragons’ Den, Look After My Bills was acquired by GoCo Group PLC (owners of GoCompare) in July 2019.
Henry has angel invested in over a hundred start ups.
Henry has previously served on the board of grassroots campaigning organisation 38 Degrees as well as Hornby plc.
His previous government work includes: special adviser in the Department for Education (2010-2013), non-executive board member at the Cabinet Office (2020-2024) and as a civil servant he was the Prime Minister’s adviser on AI in 10 Downing Street (2023-2024).
He is currently on the board of the arms length body of the Department for Education Oak National Academy and is a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative and the Said Business School at Oxford University.
In March 2026 he was appointed to the civil service role of Investment and AI Adviser in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
