Helen Jackson

Biography

Helen is a Human Resources professional with over 25 year’s experience in senior management in large organisations. She has broad experience within the HR function, with Reward as a speciality, in both cash compensation and benefits across all levels.

She is currently a Director of HWJ Consultancy Ltd which specialises in working with companies on all reward matters, with an emphasis on Executive Reward.  She retired from Lloyds Banking Group in 2018, where she was Head of Reward for the Retail Banking division.

Her previous experience includes roles as Executive Reward Director at Diageo plc, Director of Reward at Aviva plc and Director of Reward, Policy and Shared Services at Prudential plc. Helen’s roles have largely been UK focussed with the exception of Diageo, where she had a worldwide role with responsibility for global mobility and developing markets. She worked abroad on a number of projects including in Nigeria, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Helen has had extensive experience of managing remuneration committees throughout her career and as a member. At Prudential UK and Aviva UK and Europe, Helen led the Corporate Social Responsibility teams delivering initiatives throughout the UK.

Helen is a graduate of the CIPD and has a master’s degree in Employment Law.

The Member of the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration is independent. Its role is to make recommendations to the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State for Health, the First Minister and the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing of the Scottish Parliament, the First Minister and the Minister for Health and Social Services in the Welsh Assembly Government and the First Minister, Deputy First Minister and Minister for Health, Social Services and Public Safety of the Northern Ireland Executive on the remuneration of doctors and dentists taking any part in the National Health Service.
