Heather Savory
Biography
Heather Savory joined the HMPPS as a Non-Executive Board Member and Chair of the HMPPS Audit and Risk Assurance Committee on 20 May 2021.
Heather Savory has 30 years’ experience in the public and private sector. She currently holds non-executive director roles within the UK Parliament Authority for the House of Lords, and for the Big Yellow Group (BYG), a FTSE 250, chairing their Sustainability Committee. Heather was previously Director General for Data Capability at the Office for National Statistics.

Our Non-executives are senior figures from outside the Agency who bring a diverse mix of expertise and skills from across the public and private sector. They all:
- give guidance and advice to HMPPS leaders
- support and challenge management on the Agency’s strategic direction
- provide support in monitoring and reviewing progress
