Director of Devices

The devices division investigates reports of problems involving medical devices. The results of these investigations are used to advise healthcare professionals on the safe use of devices. We also work with manufacturers to improve device safety.

They also assist a number of other organisations in checking manufacturers’ proposals that involve medical investigations in the UK, and negotiating and enforcing European directives and compliance of devices with UK regulations. We also cover notified bodies, registration and interpretational/borderline issues.
