Gordon Welsh
Biography
Gordon had an extensive career in banking in the UK and the USA before joining UK Export Finance. Gordon also spent three years with Airbus in its customer sales financing team before taking a year’s secondment to work with the UK’s Secretary of State for Trade & Investment to set up an export promotion scheme. Leaving banking for public service, Gordon has undertaken a number of roles at UKEF, initially leading on product and business development, before running the department’s business underwriting teams.
Gordon is now Head of the Business Group and is a member of UKEF’s Credit Committee. Most recently, he has been responsible for all aviation business and for leading UKEF’s initiative in the field of supplier finance.
