Professor Gordon Carlson CBE
Biography
Professor Gordon Carlson was appointed as a member of the Independent Reconfiguration Panel from 1 October 2025.
He is a consultant general and colorectal surgeon at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, a member of the NHS North West Clinical Senate and National President of the Ileostomy Association.
He was awarded a CBE in Her Majesty’s 2020 New Year’s Honours List, in recognition of his national and international contributions to general and intestinal failure surgery.
