Giles Hall

Biography

Giles joined the TRA in March 2026 and heads up the Policy, Strategy and Engagement directorate. Prior to this, Giles has held a variety of roles across Government on international trade including technical barriers to trade negotiations under the UK-EU Trade & Cooperation Agreement in the Department for Business (now DBT) and overseas in Ghana with DIT (now DBT), working on pan-African trade policy and trade promotion. He has also worked on the UK’s better regulation agenda, electricity market reform and a number of roles related to the UK’s relationship with the EU, including in the Justice, Home Affairs and security/defence space in Cabinet Office.
