Gary Kildare

Biography

Gary is an experienced global business executive in the technology and professional services industry.  He has lived and worked around the world, leading teams and working with clients. He was a member of IBMs Senior Leadership Group appointed by the CEO to provide global leadership and stewardship across key strategic areas to accelerate growth. 
Gary is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.  He has a portfolio of non-executive director and board advisory roles in the public sector, education and for charities.  He is currently a non-executive director (NED) and Chair of the People Committee for The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (Ministry of Defence), a lay-member of the Legal Services Board (Ministry of Justice) and a NED for The British Quality Foundation. 

He has served as a NED for Education Scotland, as a member of the Scottish Government’s Education study – ‘The Curriculum for Excellence’, a NED for the National Skills Academy (Financial Services), a Non-Executive advisor to HMRC; an Independent member of The British Council Business Change Committee; a member of the CBI Business Council for Scotland; and is a GlobalScot.  He is married with three children and lives in Edinburgh.
