Ms Frances Moffett-Kouadio

Biography

Frances joined DTI (now the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills-BIS) as a fast-streamer in 2001, following a successful teaching career. At DTI she led on an EU Directive, wrote the Departments first Equality Impact Assessment and worked on the Business Support transformation programme, before joining UK Trade & Investment in 2004. Frances has a range of experience in different markets, including Iraq, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa and has been the Director of Trade & Investment at the British Embassy Abu Dhabi for the last three years.

Prior to joining the UKTI team in the UAE, Frances was Private Secretary to Lord Davies, Minister for Trade, Investment and Small Business. She started her working life in the City of London, working for Standard Chartered Bank. Frances has an MA (Distinction) in African Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (London University) and is married with three sons.
