Dame Fiona Kendrick

Biography
Dame Fiona Kendrick is a highly accomplished leader with a distinguished career in the food and drink sector, as well as making significant contributions to the skills and education landscape.
She is currently a member of PWC’s Advisory Council and senior adviser for Newton Europe. She formerly served as the Chair and CEO of Nestlé UK & Ireland, the Chair of New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) and as Chair of PWC’s Public Interest Body.
Fiona was recognised with a damehood in 2015 for her work in the food and drink sector and dedication to skills and young people. She was the Deputy Chair for the Institute for Apprenticeship and Technical Education Board between 2017 and 2025.
Board member
The board members play a vital role in guiding the strategic direction of Skills England and ensuring it delivers on its vision. As part of the Board, members provide independent insight, challenge, and support to the executive team. Working collectively with the Chair and fellow board members, they are responsible for:
- contributing to the development and oversight of Skills England’s strategic objectives
- providing expert advice and constructive challenge to ensure effective decision-making
- supporting good governance, risk management, and accountability across the organisation
- acting as ambassadors for Skills England, promoting its role and impact across the skills system
Board members are expected to dedicate approximately 20 days per year to the role, including attendance at Board meetings and engagement with stakeholders.
