Dr Esmond Birnie
Biography
Esmond has been a Senior Economist in Ulster University’s Business School since October 2016. Previously he was Chief Economist for PwC in Northern Ireland and Scotland, a Special Advisor to the Northern Ireland Executive Employment and Learning Minister, an MLA and a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Queen’s University.

Trade Facilitation & Advice: Provide guidance and practical facilitation to help businesses and traders across the UK expand their activities and commerce internally.

Market Promotion: Promote the full scale and reach of the UK’s internal market to business communities and traders.

Research & Barrier Removal: Conduct and publish research to identify and help remove real barriers to intra-UK trade.
